چکیده
Long-term cyclic loading from environmental conditions can lead to excessive permanent rotation of offshore wind turbines (OWTs) due the ratcheting response sand. A practical hybrid strain accumulation approach, termed bounding surface stiffness degradation method (B-SDM), for finite element analysis (FEA)-based design OWTs under is presented. This includes a base elastoplastic constitutive model that captures stress–strain relationship in first load-unload cycle and scheme modelling subsequent cycles. The presented approach allows versatile overlay calculates be applied range models. utilised established based on concept considers strain-hardening plastic volume change before failure. has been validated by single test data sand used finitesingle-element monopile loading. When modelled 3D FEA, conventional step-by-step until end regular cycle. Strain cycles using B-SDM, which modulus dilatancy are scaled law.

Soil–structure reliability of offshore wind turbine monopile foundations
An overview of offshore wind turbine (OWT) foundations is presented, focusing primarily on the monopile foundation. The uncertainty in offshore soil conditions as well as random wind and wave loading is currently treated with a deterministic design procedure, though some standards allow engineers to use a probability-based approach. Laterally loaded monopile foundations are typically designed u...
متن کاملAnalyzing the Effects of Soil-Structure Interactions on the Static Response of Onshore Wind Turbine Foundations Using Finite Element Method
The use of wind turbines to generate electricity has increased in recent years. One of the most important parts of a wind turbine is the foundation, which should be designed accurately because it is influenced by difference forces. Soil cannot carry tension stress; thus, when a wind turbine foundation is applied eccentricity forces, a gap appears between the soil and foundation. The gap will ha...
